H. E. Babajide Sanwo-OluGovernor of Lagos State,Alausa -Lagos State
Dear H.E.
Appointment of Commissioners and Special Advisers
We bring greetings from  the Women for Women Community (W4Wc) in Nigeria, a platform committed to engage leaders, policy actors and institutions on matters of gender equality and women’s/girl’s empowerment in Nigeria.  The W4W community exists as a loose coalition across Nigeria,  pulling the voices of women together in pursuance of equitable and inclusive development policies and actions for our country.
We note with much interest and appreciation your generous inclusion of women in the current list of commissioners and special advisers before the Lagos House of Assembly.  We are excited that Lagos State is ahead of all other states and even ahead of the national government in ensuring the attainment of the 35 per cent minimum inclusion for women (as specified by the National Gender Policy 2006).
Accept our congratulations as we urge you not to rest on this achievement but to ensure that the women so enlisted are given charge of very serious ministries where they can prove their mantle as women of integrity and competence.
On our part, we will continue to hold them to the highest standards of performance and pray they will not fail us the women of Nigeria, the good people of Lagos state and our nation in general.
Long live Nigeria and long live Lagos State! (Eko for equity).
Yours sincerely,
Signed
W4Wc, Abuja.
